Going out in Maastricht = having fun

In Maastricht, going out is inextricably intertwined with the lust for life so typical of the city’s inhabitants. Whether you go café hopping or see a show at the theatre, an evening out in Maastricht usually starts with a good meal and good company.

You can choose from any number of cafés where small stages, live music and DJs regularly enliven the local scene. Sitting still is not an option. Do you like dancing? Every weekend, you’ll find a venue for swinging salsa or sensuous tango.

And it seems as if Maastricht seizes just about any opportunity to organise another event or festival. The calendar is dotted with jazz and dance festivals. And autumn is highlighted by the Popronde (travelling pop festival) in more than 40 cafés spread around the centre, with live performances by talented bands just starting to make their mark
