Why not enjoy the natural beauty of Limburg while paddling down the river? From 1 May to 1 November, various canoe/bicycle/hiking packages are available using stable and stylish Canadian canoes. The canoe/bicycle trip is highly recommended. Starting from Café De Witte Börstel, you paddle over a beautiful stretch of the Meuse near the Dutch-Belgian border with no competition whatsoever from motorised boats. The only sounds you hear in this nature reserve are the sounds of the only natural rapids in the Netherlands, the cries of birds and your own breathing. After the canoe trip, you bicycle or hike back along the banks of the river through a characteristic river landscape dotted by picturesque villages until you reach your starting point. Of course, you can also return by taxi-bus. Finally, you can relax and have a bite to eat or a drink at De Witte Börstel.
